The Milton Pickleball Association was founded in December 2018. With the excitement of Pickleball growth around the world, a few dedicated volunteers from around Milton and surrounding towns got together to form the association and provide a voice to players wanting to play in the Town of Milton.
With volunteers from the Milton Pickleball Association, players new to the game can attend Learn To Play sessions offered by the Town of Milton. Pickleball can be played by most any person. Play within your comfort zone and physical condition. Want to learn the basics of play and the rules of the game, consider joining a session or two.
→ Strength in numbers gives Pickleball a greater voice when working with the Town to increase play times and locations – both indoor and out
→ Organized in-house tournaments and leagues
→ Skills development training via clinics and Learn 2 Play sessions
→ Social activities like the Christmas Party and apres-play refreshments following events

*Grand Opening of Dedicated Pickleball Courts and Open House
The Milton Pickleball Association hosted an event at the Milton Sports Centre Community Park to celebrate both the opening of Milton's first set of dedicated pickleball courts and for locals to learn all about the game. In attendance was:
^ Acting Mayor, Adil Khalqi
^ Several local councilors
^Members of the Town's Recreation and Sports Staff
^ Association volunteers
^Kawamoto family demonstration
^Vendors from the pickleball community
^ Members from the Association
^ 150+ members of the public who came to try their hand at the sport.
The weather could not have been better and by all accounts (180 hotdogs handed out!) was enjoyed by all the participants.
